Considerations regarding the discharge flow in the Bârlad upper drainage basin.

Vasile BUDUI, Cristian Valeriu PATRICHE

Abstract

In this article we present some characteristics of the discharge flow of the rivers belonging to Bârlad upper drainage basin, situated in the Central Moldavian Plateau. We analysed the general conditions influencing the quality and quantity of water resources, the
maximum and minimum daily discharges, the mean monthly water flow regime, the interannual variations and the evolution of mean
annual discharge values.
The specific discharge was assessed using the flow accumulation raster generated in GIS environment on the basis of a 20x20m DEM.

Finally, we analysed the sediment discharge using the data recorded at three hydrometric points.
