Hidrogeografie versus hidrologie (Hidrogeography versus hydrology)

The rapid development of hydrology is the result of increasing demand for water and the shortage of natural resources in time and space. Hence, the need for different approaches and working methods and growing number of specialists. Geography, the discipline in which hydrology originates, extended the investigations of water resources through a distinct brach called hydrogeography, actually a branch between geography and hydrology. This new development is discussed in the paper with emphasis on international and, moreover, national concerns in this area. A major goal of hydrogeography is mapping and the drawing out of hydrogeographycal chartes.
